Please be aware of the following as you prepare your co-sponsorship request:
1.) The purpose of the SGA Co-sponsorship Fund is to promote on-campus programming that benefits Barnard students but may target the entire campus community. Co-sponsorship Requests to SGA will be judged on the merits of the program (benefit to engineers, benefit to the campus community at large), program viability (projected attendance, effort on part of student group), and the need of the student group.
2.) Your Governing Board also maintains discretionary appeals funds. We strongly urge all groups to take their programming idea to their Governing Board in addition to the Co-sponsorship Fund. All issues regarding budgets, allocations, and overhead costs should be taken to the Governing Board. Governing Board appeals and co-sponsorship policies can be found here:

3.) The three other Student Councils (CCSC, GSSC, ESC) also all maintain co-sponsorship funds and are resources for programming needs that meet the requirements of the respective student councils. Student Council co-sponsorship policies can be found here:
We strongly urge groups requesting co-sponsorships from multiple Student Councils should request amounts proportional to the impact of the event on each respective student body with the understanding that each of the four Student Councils represent a different proportion of the student body and their financial capabilities are also different.
4.) Important Dates
The next co-sponsorship dates are as follows:
Thursday, November 20th - Co-sponsorship applications due by 11am in the SGA
